At The Square you can buy these properties through a scheme called The First Time Buyers Initiative.
What is the First Time Buyer's Initiative?
This is designed to help first-time buyers to purchase a new property with government assitance. The Government could assist you with up to 50% of the full purchase price, but you will have 100% title to your home. You can then make repayments at any time in order to own more equity in your home until you own it outright. You will pay fees to the government on its contribution after three years of home ownership: 1% after three years, 2% after four years and 3% thereafter.
If you decide to sell your home then you must repay the government contribution, i.e. if the government contributed 25% of the full purchase price, you must repay 25% of the total value at the time of sale.
